In 2020, Project iRISE changed the face of human trafficking support and gave survivors the tools they needed to get back on their feet. In only two years, and with the undying support of our community, we have designed and executed first-of-its-kind programming that imparted unparalleled education and made an irreplaceable difference in how the globe views human trafficking and its survivors. We successfully ran a GoFundMe campaign to support our Branding Tattoo Removal program, and our trailblazing Survivor Leadership program was a successful recipient of the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services in support of Ontario's comprehensive Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy.
Like many organizations have done post-pandemic, we’re now ready to announce a change to our operations. After so much success in helping at-risk individuals rebuild their lives, we know that our programming has done its job in supporting our community and educating human trafficking survivors, advocates, and youth.
In light of this, we’re announcing Project iRISE’s move to become an online hub through our website and social media platforms. Although our frontline programming will be coming to an end, our organization will continue to play a pivotal role in educating the world on human trafficking and providing survivors with support materials to help them be their best selves.
We can’t thank our community of volunteers and supporters enough for standing by us through this journey, and we're honoured to keep contributing to the fight to end human trafficking.
